National Safety Training Centre commenced trading in February 2003.
Nigel Keane first registered with FAS as a trainer in 2000. National Safety Training Centre registered with FAS as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) assessors with Nigel Keane as Assessor in 2005.
National Safety Training Centre started with a Portacabin and 2 acres rented from a local farmer near Athy. The first machine purchased was a JCB 3CX and than a Hyundai 130LC-3 360 degrees excavator followed in April 2003. In October 2005 6 acres was purchased and a 3000 square foot warehouse was built to house a classroom/office and a large open area for indoor training needs. A further 2000 square foot shed was built to house a now large selection of equipment used specifically for training. In October 2007 a 7000 square foot concrete pad was added and this will aid in the delivery of training courses.
The equipment includes 180 degrees excavator, 360 degrees excavator, mini digger, telescopic handler, Articulated dumper, Site dumper, Articulated loading shovel, skid steer, Tractor, Low loader with Hydraulic lorry loader attached. Tractor dozer, Scissors lift, Articulated telescopic boom, Counterbalance Forklift, Reach Truck, ride on and pedestrian lawnmowers, Hedge trimmers, Chainsaws, ATV Quad Bike, Counterbalance Container Handler.
Our FAS registration number is 902229 and National Safety Training Centre is placed on the FAS/EI national register of trainers.
